Effective school leadership is paramount for any long-standing, positive school change. Administrators must first work with the larger school community to create a vision and mission that resonates with all stakeholders, and then implement policies and procedures to achieve these shared goals. Furthermore, leaders must build a school community where both students and teachers feel valued, supported, and empowered. This begins by acting as an instructional leader to promote teachers' professional development and to ensure all classes are equitable and engaging.
